DESCRIPTION:Day: Thursday\nDate: March 6\, 2025\nTime: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm\nFormat: In-Person only for all contestants and functionaries.\nSpectators may attend in person or online. \nSpeech contests are a Toastmasters tradition. Each year\, we seek to identify and recognize members with outstanding public speaking skillsand ultimately award the title of “World Champion of Public Speaking” to one among our ranks. Besides begin fun\, it recognizes excellence\, inspires our members\, and draws attention to our organization. \nThe purpose of a speech contest is to provide an opportunity for speakers to improve their speaking abilities\, to recognize individual Toastmasters as an encouragement to all\, and to provide an opportunity for all Toastmasters to learn by observing speakers who have benefited from their Toastmasters training. Each contest focuses on a particular set of skills\, providing a terrific opportunity to learn about a specific area of communication. \nContestants please arrive at 5:30 pm for the contestants briefing.\nFunctionaries please arrive at 5:30 pm for the functionary briefing.\nJudges please arrive at 5:30 pm for the judges briefing. \nVenue:\nThe Ant Space\, 1925 E. Prater way\, Sparks\, NV (Building in the back\, please follow the parking lot around to the second building\, through the open gate.  You will see our large banner outside the door.  The contest will be up the stairs on your right.)
