EVENT DESCRIPTION:

District Leadership: An Introduction, presents information about the roles of the Area Directors, Division Directors, Club Growth Director, Program Quality Director and District Director.  You should attend if you are curious about what your district leaders are doing, what they gain from the experience, or whether serving as a district leader is right for you.

Review of the District Leadership Handbook is recommended, but not required.

While this event does not include officer-specific training, attendees will receive credit for the non-officer-specific element of club officer training.

To receive credit for officer training provided by another district, please send an email to the Program Quality Director (PQD) for the district in which the training took place, and request the PQD confirm your participation and the nature of the training.  Please be sure to copy Lance McMahan, District 39 PQD, at .

Per the Distinguished Club Program, clubs earn Distinguished Club Program Training (goal #9) when “A minimum of four club officer roles (are) trained during each of the two training periods.”  District 39 Club Officers need to attend two (2) hours of training for a minimum of four officer roles during each training period (Summer and Winter). This requirement applies even if your club elects club officers on an annual basis.  Note also the requirement is for club officer roles trained; someone holding more than one officer role will receive credit for all officer roles held in all clubs.
