Join Program Quality Director-elect Angie Rodriguez on Zoom Wednesday, June 12 6:30 - 8:30pm In this event, we will: - Discuss how to resolve issues which may discourage club officers from attending training. - Discuss how we can generate excitement for training. - Determine the topics for training during the 2024 - 2025 Toastmasters Year - Discuss the feasibility of a monthly training session to enrich our Toastmasters journey and provide new skillsets. During the club officer training periods these trainings can provide Enrichment Training credit. Many of you may have received an email with the registration link. Do your club meetings seem a bit dry and off-putting to guests? Does it feel like your club has run out of ideas on how to ensure guests want to join and members want to stay? Statement Makers Toastmasters is proud to host Past International Director Louisa Davis, DTM, as she shares a fun, fast-paced presentation on "How to Have Engaging Club Meetings".
The Learning and Leadership Education Program will include Club Officer Development and Enrichment sessions. This session will include one (1) hour of Club Officer Development and one (1) hour of Understanding the Distinguished Club Program. This program uses interactive discussion sessions, break out rooms with small group discussions, Zoom tools such as Whiteboard, and Club Scenarios providing foundational theory that can be applied in any club. Besides gaining practical leadership knowledge, you also have the opportunity to network with other club officers. For incoming Club Officers, your participation earns ¼ a point for your club, which counts towards achieving the Distinguished Club status. To fulfill District 39 training requirements for the summer training season, a club officer must attend one (1) hour of Club Officer Development and 1 additional hour of an Enrichment session. The two (2) hours may be completed at separate times and on separate days. Training must be completed between June 1st and August 31st.
