    Division North (N) International Speech & Tall Tales

    Day: Saturday Date: March 29th, 2025 Time: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Location: In-Person only Speech contests are a Toastmasters tradition. Each year, we seek to identify and recognize members with outstanding public speaking skills and ultimately award the title of “World Champion of Public Speaking” to one among our ranks. Besides begin fun, it recognizes excellence, inspires our members, and draws attention to our organization. The purpose of a speech contest is to provide an opportunity for speakers to improve their speaking abilities, to recognize individual Toastmasters as an encouragement to all, and to provide an opportunity for all Toastmasters to learn by observing speakers who have benefited from their Toastmasters training. Each contest focuses on a particular set of skills, providing a terrific opportunity to learn about a specific area of communication. Contestants, please arrive at 12:30 for contestant briefing. Judges, please arrive at 12:30 for judges briefing. Functionaries, please arrive at 12:30 for functionary briefing.

    Thank you for stepping up to be part of the planning team for the district 39 Spring Conference! Your enthusiasm and expertise are key to making this event a success, and I am thrilled to have you on board. Our first team meeting is scheduled for: Date: Monday, January 27th, 2025 Time: 6:30 p.m. Location: Zoom  https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZwude6qqzguGtK8kSIbVgMnzUtSR9Hap3e5 (link is also on the D39 calendar) We'll discuss key roles, set goals, and share initial ideas on how we can bring our theme - "Believe, Lead, and Succeed" - to life. Your input will be invaluable as we shape a dynamic experience for all attendees. Please mark your calendars and come ready to share your thoughts and creative energy. Together, we'll build something truly outstanding!  If you have any questions or cannot attend, please let me know in advance.     Bits ‘N Speeches Open House

    Bits 'N Speeches open house is at their new home base: Cosumnes River College. We want to invite our fellow Toastmasters to this exciting open house. David Goad will be our guest speaker. There will be snacks, and fun! Join us at the WINN building @ Cosumnes River College. Use the college address: 8401 Center Parkway, Sacramento, CA 95823 Enter on the Bruceville side; building is on the right side & can be seen from the parking lot (front 2 story building with large windows) We will meet in room 251 on the second floor. There is a $2 parking fee This will be a HYBRID meeting
