Area 11 International Speech & Tall Tales Contest

Day: Saturday Date: March 15, 2025 Time: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Format: In person only for all contestants and functionaries Spectators may attend in person or online Speech contests are a Toastmasters tradition. Each year, we seek to identify and recognize members with outstanding public speaking skills and ultimately award the title of “World Champion of Public Speaking” to one among our ranks. Besides being fun, it recognizes excellence, inspires our members, and draws attention to our organization. The purpose of a speech contest is to provide an opportunity for speakers to improve their speaking abilities, to recognize individual Toastmasters as an encouragement to all, and to provide an opportunity for all Toastmasters to learn by observing speakers who have benefited from their Toastmasters training. Each contest focuses on a particular set of skills, providing a terrific opportunity to learn about a specific area of communication.
